BANGKOK METROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION AS PERCEIVED BY THEMSELVES.

The
purposes of this study where 1) to compare the differences between the
expected roles and the actual roles of audio-visual education teachers
as perceived by themselves, and 2) to compare the different perceptions
of audio-visual education teachers whose graduated in Audio-visual Education
Program and audio-visual education teachers whose graduated not in Audio-visual
Education Program about the expected roles and the actual roles of audio-visual
teachers. The expected roles and the actual roles of audio-visual teachers
included the following aspects: logistics, production, selection and utilization,
design, management, and research.
The population
in this study comprised of 55 Audio-visual Education teachers whose graduated
in Audio-visual Education Program and 314 Audio-Visual Education teachers
whose graduated not in Audio-visual Education Program in elementary schools
under the jurisdiction of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The
researcher constructed a set of questionable consisting of multiple choice,
rating scale and open-end questions. The obtained data were analyzed by
means of percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and then
presented in the form of tables vital explanations.
The research findings show important results as following:
1. The comparison
between the expected roles and the actual roles of audio-visual teachers
as perceived by themselves were significant differences at the level of
.05.
2. The comparison
of perceptions by audio-visual teachers whose graduated in Audio-visual
Education Program and audio-visual teachers whose graduated not in Audio-visual
Education Program about the expected roles by audio-visual teachers were
not significant.
3. The comparison
of perceptions by audio-visual teachers whose graduated in Audio-visual
Education Program and audio-visual teachers whose graduated not in Audio-visual
Education Program about tile actual roles by audio-visual teachers were
not significant.
